MAJOR PROJECTS

Fortino Bros offers complete home and commercial space transformations. We've had the pleasure of converting a number of prominent structures, helping to add to the resurgence of the City. Please feel free to explore our projects:

Empire Times

Built: 1890
Revitalized: 2014
Address: 41 King William St., Hamilton ON
Fortino Bros was the general contractor and painter for this project, helping Core Urban Inc. revitalize a landmark building in the heart of Hamilton, which is occupied by well-known businesses such as FirstOntario, FactorE, and The Mule restaurant.

Herkimer at Bay

Built: 1914
Revitalized: 2010
Address: 86 Herkimer Street, Hamilton ON
A perfect example of old-meets-new: Herkimer at Bay apartments is a great example of how the City is transforming history without tearing it down.

In 2010, Herkimer at Bay apartments went through a revitalization which saw the building preserved, restored, and updated. Fortino Bros kept up with that mission by restoratively painting all the units, delicately keeping the charm of the 100-year-old trim, re-staining original hardwood doors, and ensuring the character of the building (inside and out) was maintained.

Bay at Herkimer is a project we are very proud of to have been involved with. It was a magnificent transformation.

Pipeline Studios

Built: 1903
Revitalized: 4th Floor – 2017
Address: The Textile Building, 10 George St., Hamilton
Fortino Bros was the general contractor and painter for this project, helping Core Urban Inc. repurpose two adjacent textile buildings into a multi-functioning office space. Pipeline Studios, an award-winning kids content developer, is occupying the entire 4th floor of both buildings, which have an open-concept design and an integrated bridge connecting the two spaces.

Templar Flats

Built: 2016
Revitalized: new build
Address: 31-37 King William St., Hamilton
Fortino Bros. was responsible for structurally tying in three buildings together (two older buildings with the third being the new build in the middle). We were the first company to successfully build a 6-storey wood construction building as per the new Ontario guidelines. This space has created 27 apartments and 3 restaurant spaces.

Textile Building

Built: 1903
Revitalized: 2016
Address: 10 George St., Hamilton ON
Fortino Bros was contracted to completely renovate the entire building. We built a brand-new atrium, complete with Carrara Marble slabs surrounding elevator shaft. We worked with a number of individuals and transformed the space for tenants such as Momentum Fitness, Hamilton Utility Corporation, lawyers’ offices, and created shared office spaces with a common boardroom.
